Last month, the Belfast Telegraph ran a promotion giving away a brand new £150,000 three-bedroom house in Dundonald absolutely free. All readers needed to do to enter this dream home competition was to collect six free vouchers from the newspaper and submit their entry by 17 June 2009.
The details of the winner of this free win a house competition were announced last Monday. Local Londonderry businessman Paul McGilloway was given the life-changing news while at work at his local print shop. According to the Telegraph, the new house situated in a new development at Coopers Mill is the biggest prize every given away by a newspaper in Northern Ireland.
The father of three was said to be "flabbergasted" with his property prize, which he intends to offer to his oldest son Eoghan to help him through his upcoming studies at Queen's University, which are scheduled to start in September.
